my run yesterday in atlanta, ga. finally, a run without a sweat shirt. just shorts and a t-shirt. it is getting warmer! though there was snow on the ground. and i got lost on a golf course. we’re all caught up now, on my runs.

on christmas morning, i knew we were having holiday feast at a waffle house, so i prepped by going on a very merry 2.5 mile run around duke university. lovely campus. scary waffle house.

a brrr chilly jaunt along a small highway, with powdery snow covering the ground. i asked our host, who runs this route regularly, and who also suffered a near-death experience twelve years ago along the highways of virginia not far from where he lives now, after being hit by a drunk driver who was killed instantly, if it’s dangerous to run along a highway shoulder with traffic. he shrugged...

there’s nothing as miserable as running in the cold. it’s been almost two weeks, and about five states since my last run. that’s lazy and unacceptable. today’s run was along a highway in unionville, va. it was about 35*, which felt lovely compared to the freezing weather we’ve been dealing with. but still too cold. miami, fl can’t get here fast enough. a run...

home again. this was a 2-mile run through my neighborhood, from summer’s apartment, down to my place (for a photo), and back up through mccarren park. miss this route, and can’t wait to get back to it.
